Slouching. Slumping. Locking our knees. Hunching over our phones. Most of us know we’ve developed some bad habits over the years. But how do these habits affect us, long term–and what can we do about them?
Join us for a fun, informal workshop where we talk about common postural issues and learn some exercises you can do anywhere, anytime, to strengthen and stabilize and combat the effects of bad habits.
Dress comfortably and be ready to move!
Exercises will be gentle but effective; we’ll modify any of them according to your needs.
Our posture workshop is the capstone of our Connections Series, workshops which highlighted important joints in the body: the hips, knees, ankles, spine, neck and shoulders.
Indeed, posture is not just a straight spine with neck aligned and shoulders back–it also depends on your hips, knees, and direction your feel are turned. Many of us think our posture is fine–yet we persist on habits that causes tension, soreness, loss of strength. This evening, we hope to help you begin to make the “connection” between them all, yourself!
