Yoga Classes

Beginning Yoga

Do you think yoga looks difficult? Do you see people in complicated poses with exotic-sounding names and think “Well, that’s just not for me?”

This class can change your mind.

The word “yoga” simply means “to connect:” connect breath to movement, connect mind to body. It is a gentle system of stretching and strengthening you can do at any age, and its benefits are wide-ranging. If you are concerned about balancing, bending over, being on the floor, etc.–just let the instructor know. This class can be as easy or as challenging as you like: it’s up to you!

Yoga--All Levels

At Creative Therapeutics, we believe in the power of yoga to transform your mind and body. Yoga is for everyone! It’s something you can do all your life, virtually anywhere, and for any length of time. Whether you look at it as stretching, a workout, a way to relax, or a way to seek harmony, yoga offers a myriad of benefits. Students report greater strength and flexibility, lower blood pressure, improved balance, and enhanced peace of mind.

Our instructors have experience in many styles and types of yoga. Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa, and restorative yoga may all be explored. Dedicated to their practice and passionate about teaching, our instructors are willing to gauge classes according to what students want and need. Whether you are just starting yoga or have been practicing for years, you’ll find class a satisfying experience. And if you have special concerns or goals, please let your instructor know. They know how to modify poses to accommodate you!

Yoga Level 2

Our Level 2 class is meant for those with some yoga experience, who know what to do when they hear “Downward Dog” and are maybe looking for something a little extra. We’ll look to challenge and expand your practice a little more, but we’ll still approach challenging poses carefully and offer modifications as needed.

Anna's Senior Boot Camp

Age is not an issue in this class! We place a strong emphasis on body mechanics used to carry out daily activities from unloading the dishwasher to getting in and out of a car. The gentle exercise portion of the class educates the participants in the correct way to stretch a muscle and not stress the joints. Much of the exercises are weight-bearing activities. Hand held weights and elastic bands are used for resistance to arm and leg exercises. This class is essentially “group physical therapy,” and as such represents one of the best values around. Our class addresses risk factors through practical information sharing and exercise to help you live a more healthy, happy lifestyle.
