Menopause–Don’t Sweat It! A Panel Discussion

Thursday, Jan. 25 | 6:00-7:30 PM | FREE

Some tell stories of hot flashes, mood swings, sleeplessness–and other rather inconvenient interruptions. Others shrug “Meh–didn’t affect me much.” Doubtless you’ve heard a few menopausal tales through family or friends.  Such stories often come accompanied by advice about how to best manage these symptoms–from supplements to exercise routines to “natural” remedies.

Just as women experience menstrual cycle changes in different ways, there may be no one magic remedy to help make the transitions easier. In addition to hormonal changes, medical conditions, lifestyle choices, and outside events can contribute to how you experience this time of life.

Join us for a free event to demystify the subject of women’s hormones and the changes they can bring from the perspective of medical practitioners who deal with these topics on a daily basis. Chantal Manhart, WHNP, FNP-BC and our own Jamie Justice, PT, WCS present a free panel discussion about women’s hormonal changes. We’ll discuss what happens to your hormones during peri- and post-menopause, options you have for managing some of the unwanted symptoms, and common pelvic floor issues that can worsen during this time, including bladder leakage or painful intercourse.

Bring your questions! Our panel nights are always fun, informal, and very informative. Best of all, they’re free and open to everyone in the community to attend.
