Integrative Manual Therapy

Integrative Manual Therapy uses gentle hands-on techniques in order to optimize the structural alignment (posture) of the body. Sometimes the techniques are so gentle that patients hardly know they are working until they feel better. The Integrative Manual Therapy techniques used are craniosacral therapy, strain-counterstrain, myofascial release and massage.

Common diagnoses that can benefit from a manual therapy approach:

  • Any diagnosis where trauma has occurred (car accident, fall, etc.)
  • Damage that has occurred from repeated use (carpal tunnel, back strain, neck strain, etc.)
  • Tendonitis, bursitis
  • Post-surgical problems, especially for loosening scar tissue adhesions, both surface and internal
  • Chronic Pain
  • Headaches
  • Fibromyalgia
